Story

Hi, I'm Zi.

I started GLOSSDebut in 2026 because fashion has always been something I've loved. Growing up as a country girl, I was always sketching outfit ideas, putting together looks, and dreaming about creating clothes of my own one day. Eventually, I decided to stop saying "one day" and just go for it.

The name GLOSS stands for 'Get Loud Or Stay Small'. To me, it's about having the confidence to take up space, express yourself, and be whoever you want to be without worrying about what other people think.

I definitely couldn't have done any of this alone. My best friend and co-founder, Esthere, has been with me through the entire process. From brainstorming ideas to helping bring the brand to life, she's been there every step of the way. GLOSSDebut honestly wouldn't be what it is without her.

Something people are usually surprised to hear is that we're both nursing students at the University of Western Australia. Fashion and nursing might seem like completely different worlds, but both are about people. Whether it's through healthcare or clothing, I've always wanted to help people feel confident, comfortable, and like the best version of themselves.

GLOSSDebut is still growing, but that's what makes it exciting. Every design comes from a genuine love of fashion and a desire to create pieces that make people feel good when they wear them.
